The new king

Act 3.3 lines 42
Edward this day hath crowned him king anew

It's interesting to see the changes that occurs to Edward's rule after the death of Gaveston. He finally decides to take action against the lords. Edward displays himself as a king and appears to finally demand his respect. However although he feels like a new King, he can still be easily influenced. His passions and emotions for revenge is what is temporiarly making him "powerful". His main motivation was to revenge the death of Gaveston. He is going to be very vulernarable because once he executes the lords he will lose his motivation.
