Edward's death?

Act 5.5 lines 111-115
Edward's death is confusing. Not much information is known and the whole situation is ambiguous. Lightborn asks for a feather bed, table, and a red-hot spit. The feather bed is where Edward lays, the table is uesd to stomp on Edward, yet no more information is used abut the spit. Matrevis reveals of the King's loud cry at his end. Was the cry caused by the suffocation of the table? Although very vague, I have a feeling that this cry has something to do about the red-hot spit. Was he stabbed? Perhaps Marlowe wanted each person to have their own interpretation of Edward II's ending because Lightborn never reveals his "secrets". Perhaps the spit was put down his throat or up his anus or used to stab his penis for a symbolic death to hurt his manhood.
