Beatrice is very fake. It is similar in aspect to The Duchess of Malfi with the theme of inside vs. outside. However, Beatrice acknowledges and shows her extreme hatred of De Flores openly and to his face. The real question is, who is this Beatrice? She seems to display multiple personalities depending on the people shes surrounded by. She's a completely different character with De Flores, Vermandero, and Alsemero. As soon as De Flores came into the picture, she changed and then when her father entered, she transformed into a new character once again. So, who is she really..? She doesn't seem to have much of an identity besides for being insincere and villainous. Although we might not yet know what she is on the "inside", she is not what she appears on the outside...
