{Aside} "So, one may see by this
How foreign markets go:
Courtiers have feet a'th'nines and tongues a'h'twelves;
They flatter dukes and dukes flatter themselves."
Lussurioso and Vindici are more similar than they both think. They both loved to be flattered and think highly of themselves. Vindici's ideas are often flattered by Hippolito which gives him more confidence in himself and reaffirms his own opinion of himself (that he is witty and intelligent). Lussurioso clearly needs and loves to be flattered by the nobles so he can inflate his ego (which reaffirms his own opinion of himself as wonderful and amazing). Both of the men are also bad judges of character and fall prey to trusting people too easily. Yet, their main fault is believing that they are great judges of character, which is why they fall prey to giving out secrets and information. Lussurioso believes in Vindice/Piato/ Hippolito without a question and takes pride in his "abilities" to do so. However, Vindice does the same thing when he tells Antonio the truth behind the murders! He does the exact same thing that he criticized the first noble for! Overall, these two men are more similar than they believe!
